Peter Mlinar and Theresia Kellermayr win round three of 4Fun series, the Merjasec Enduro in Ruše. 71 riders from 5 countries complete three special stages.

Peter Mlinar (Blackthorn), a 4Fun series specialist, won round three of 4Fun series, the Merjasec (Wild Boar) enduro above the town of Ruše in Northwestern Slovenia close to Maribor. After three special stages Pero was 3.99 faster than the second place Austrian Peter Mihalkovits (Radwelt MK/Nakita) while Maribor local Boštjan Pisanec finished third over 11 second behind the winner.

Mlinar was fastest in first special stage in front of Pisanec and Mihalkovits, then just defended his lead. Mihalkovits won the longest second stage from Mlinar and Pisanec and in last stage two other riders jumped in front: junior Matic Kokelj (Wolf Racing Team) won in front of Colombian Camilo Sanchez and the three fastest overall followed closely: Mihalkovits, Mlinar and Pisanec.

Pisanec was the fastest hobi class rider in front of another Maribor rider Alen Šumandl and Austrian Stefan Strohmayer. Kokelj won the U19 junior category from Austrian Filip Freudenberg (Radlager) and Enej Podlipnik (Rajd Funsports). Sanchez was fastest in Master 1 in front of Uroš Jerič (MTB Trbovlje) and Philipp Podbrecnik (Giant Stattegg) while in Master 2 it was Grega Nagode (Energijateam.com) in front of Michael Strohmayer and Matthias Lenz (Radlager).

Almost too beautiful for racing, isn’t it?

71 riders from 5 countries finished the race.

The next 4Fun series race is coming up on August 6th, it is the mass start Matadown on Matajur. But before that it’s time for a SloEnduro race and EWS Qualifier event, the classic Black Hole Enduro.
