Fastest Slovenian enduro rider moves to elite category on the other Spanish brand and on Austrian team.
The fastest Slovenian enduro rider Vid Peršak will be competing on Mondrakes bikes. Vid is turning 21 this year and is entering the Enduro World Series elite category. He’s been loyal to the other Spanish brand Orbea almost from the start of his career and was also member of Orbea Enduro Crew.
Vid will be a member of new Austrian team Enduro Team Dorrong, an EWS development team, with team chief Bernd Dorrong, Petra Bernhard, Gerd Skant and veteran Cri Maierhofer. Riders will be using bikes of different brands but will be sharing some team sponsors and suppliers.
Besides Vid Mondraker has two Spanish riders in enduro, Gabriel Torralba Garasa and Jacobo Santana Pastor. There are currently no enduro riders listed in Austrian downhill team MS Mondraker but there is another Austrian team on Mondraker bikes racing in SloEnduro series, the RLM Mondraker Racing Team of last year’s female champion Yana Dobnig.
Vid is already shredding his home trails in Koroška and the ones around Ljubljana where is studying sports on a Mondraker Dune Carbon XR and he also has a Chrono Carbon XC 29er for training.
Vid is also supported by Kenda Tires Europe which added him on their Kenda Heroes team.
Last year Vid won the SloEnduro series title by winning three races. He finished on podium in EWS under 21 races twice, in second place in Ireland and in third at La Thuile, Italy.
