Zmagovalca endura Kamnik, pete dirke serije SloEnduro v organizaciji Calcit bike teama, sta v mokrih in drsečih razmerah postala Avstrijca Skant in Dobnigova. Podelili tudi naslove državnih prvakov.
Winners of Enduro Kamnik, wet and slippery round five of SloEnduro series put on by Calcit Bike Team, are Austrian riders. Gerd Skant (RideTSG) was the fastest man while Yana Dobnig (RLM Mondraker Racing Team) literally faced no competition this time. Skant is also the new SloEnduro leader.
It was the first time on top of SloEnduro podium for the 25 year old Skant, the series where he started his enduro career only last year. He was a successful BMX dirt jumper until 2011, then tried his luck in downhill racing for two seasons and also entered some marathon races. Finally he united his bike handling skills with his endurance in the discipline of enduro.
Today on the trails on Old Castle Hill above Kamnik Gert won two out of four special stages, the 2nd and 3rd, and he was among the fastest in other two. Enough to celebrate his first victory with a gap of 13 seconds over second placed Tadej Razpet (Pedal Racing Team). Tadej bacame the fourth Elite National Champion since the race doubled as the single stop Slovenian Championships race. Nejc Huth (Energijateam.com) finished third 17 seconds behind the winner.

Huth was on his was way at least to national title but fastest times in stages 1 and 4 didn’t help him after a flat tire in third.
Austrian Daniel Schemmel (Cube Action Team) finished in fourth place and fastest junior Matjaž Istenič (Energijateam.com) in fifth place.
In junior category Istenič was followed by two more Slovenians, Jan Balantič (Calcit bike team) and team mate David Ivartnik.
Robert Kordež (Black Hole enduro team) won the masters 1, Grega Nagode (Energijateam.com) the masters 2 and Blaž Hölcl the hobby category.

There is on the final race of SloEnduro series left, the Enduro Grozni in Grožnjan, Croatia, on October 15th and 16th. There are also three races of the SloEnduro 4Fun series in the calendar before that date.
It just got very crowded on top of the men’s SloEnduro standings. Skant climbed from 6th right to the top with 1120 points, 20 ahead of Razpet and the former leader Peter Mlinar (Blackthorn) who missed the Kamnik race due to an injury. Schemmel sits in 4th just 30 points behind the two. Vid Peršak (Gaes Orbea Enduro Crew) is in 5th, still just 70 points behind the leader. There are 400 points for the win, 300 for second, 250 for third… So it will be a tight fight for the overall title.
