Slovenian cross-country with a coordinator and with a calendar for the new season. 11 XC races plus the marathon national championships.
In November the candidates for cross-country and downhill coordinator presented their plans to the Slovenian Cycling Federation Mountain Bike Commission. In the last days of the year Mitja Tancik was chosen as cross-country coordinator (his brother Jaka in running the SloEnduro series) while Iztok Kvas was voted the same title in downhill.
The first results are here – the national cross-country calendar. Eight Slovenia Cup races plus two additional ones in youth classes plus the National Championships.
One Slovenia Cup race is across the border in Samobor, Croatia. There are three UCI categorized races in the series, one of 1st and two of 2nd category.
The National Championships race will be held in Kočevje on Saturday June 18th. The day after the organizers will be holding the first marathon race which will also decide the national champions.
