Stefano Braidot fastest after five stages of GoEnduro in front of 7 more Italians and two Slovenians in top 10. Austrian Yana Dobnig wins women’s race.

The SloEnduro 4Fun series started on Sunday with GoEnduro race in Mossa near Gorizia, Italy. Three flowing tracks in the nearby hills were much more fun to ride than last year in wet conditions. The dry clay dirt offered solid grip for the tyres of 98 riders from Austria, Italy and Slovenia. The first stage was open and fast while the second an third, both repeated, were more flowing and rolling, like a pumptrack pointed down the hill.

There were some teardrops by the end but not enough to spoil the racing day for the riders and spectators.

After five stages and over 10 minutes of combined racing time it was an all-Italian top of the ranking. Stefan Braidot of the hosting club Caprivesi was fastest while also cheered on by his brothers, the XC national team riders Luca and Daniele. Junior Michele Dreossi was second just over 10 seconds behind and the young masters rider Francesco Remoto third.

Let’s not forget the ladies: last year’s SloEnduro champion, Austrian Yana Dobnig (RLM Mondraker Racing) was the only one to beat the 2014 champion Ana Zupan (Energijateam.com) who is returning to racing after becoming a mother.

See you at SloEnduro opening race, the Enduro Grozni in Grožnjan, Croatia on April 8th and 9th, while the 4Fun series continues on May 7th at Enduro Krokar, Dobrna, Slovenia.
