Mayors announce: Cross-country in Austrian and downhill in Slovenian Styria. Bid for 2018 season.
Maribor hosted its last World Cup downhill in 2010 and ever since there has been talk about bidding for another round. And now it’s here.
At least that is what the mayors of both cities in Styria region on both sides of the border are saying: yesterday mayor of Graz Siegfried Nagl and mayor of Maribor Andrej Fištravec announced a joint bid to host UCI MTB World Cup races in 2018 season.
Double program should be hosted in an long weekend with XCO in Graz and DHI in Maribor.
The bids are to be submitted by August 24th.
