77 riders from 5 nations at round 8 of SloEnduro 4Fun series in Kranjska Gora bike park. Junior Matjaž Istenič fastest in front of teammates Nejc Huth and Maks Trobec.
Even ten years after first Super D race in Kranjska Gora bike park (the enduro before the enduro) this venue is still a part of SloEnduro series. Just like the first Super D race this year’s Enduro MTB Republic, round eight of SloEnduro 4Fun, was also held on first Sunday in September, the day after the classic Vršič road hillclimb race.
77 riders from five nations were on a hunt for parts of a second on the course in the bike park for almost five hours.
Three best runs by each rider were added together for final result and the fastest kept in undet 10 minutes. In the end it was three members of Energijateam.com from Domžale, Slovenia, who occupied the overall podium. Junior Matjaž Istenič took his first victory, followed by the more experienced Nejc Huth and first year elite rider Maks Trobec.
Triple Energija win!
They were followed by Italian Marco Scheriau (Team Maglia Nera) as third placed elite rider.
Yana Dobnig (RLM Mondraker Racing Team), the SloEnduro leader, was again the fastest lady in fron of local rookies Tjaša Rutar and Urša Hrovat.
Italians David Castellani (Team Maglia Nera) and Michele Dreossi (ASD Team Granzon) joined Istenič on junior men’s podium.
Manfred Morokutti (Enduro Beljak) from nearby Villach was the fastest in master 1 category and 5th overall, followed by Russians Evgeny Shipilov (Norco/Trial-Sport) and Mihail Vasilenko (Specialized Russia).
Grega Nagode (Energijateam.com) won in master 2 from David Taucer (Federclub Trieste) and Tine Zupan (Scott Team).
Blaž Hölcl won the hobby class again in front of Luca Dreos (Surf Trieste) and Jernej Oblak.
