Slovenians and Austrians share the top in SloEnduro 4Fun round 3, first enduro held in Ruše.

62 riders from Austria, Croatia, Italy and Slovenia of which only one “lady wild boar” entered the round three of SloEnduro 4Fun series, the Merjasec (Wild boar) enduro in Ruše in Drava river valley close to Maribor.

The riders got wet on Pohorje mountain trails already during morning practice runs. Then the rain stopped and returned in time for afternoon’s race. The riders did two timed runs on the number 1 course, then moved to number 2 for one run.

Slovenian veteran Robert Kordež (Black Hole enduro team) ended the day with best total time. he had 4 second of advantage from Austrian Gerd Skant (Ride TSG) who was fastest in the first stage. Another Slovenian Blaž Hölcl finished third.

The organizers from local club and Maribor shop Luka’s Bikes added a pumptrack competition and evening concert into the program in Ruše sports park.

The 4Fun series now moves north to Graz, Austria, for Enduro Gradec on Schöckl mountain on June 5th. Over 100 riders registered already and the field is limited to 150.

But before that is is time for SloEnduro round 2 with Enduro Cerkno on May 28th/29th.
