Over the weekend Peršak was the fastest in four out of five special stages on the trails on Petzen (Austria) and in Jamnica (Slovenia) and he finished with the total of 25 minutes and 15 seconds. Austrian Max Fejer (Team Dorrong) edged him out by a part of a second on SS3 and finally took second place 35.9 behind. South African Keira Duncan (Pyga Industries) finished third 1.8 behind Peršak.

Yana Dobnig was the fastest woman with Slovenian Tina Perše (Calcit Bike Team) who officially won the women’s EWS race since Yana is riding in the U21 category. Swedish rider Josefine Bjoerkman (Trek Sweden) finished third.
117 riders finished the race in hard, wet conditions, so just over half of the 220 pre-registered or just over two thirds of the 170 who on Saturday morning picked up their number plates for 6th edition of Black Hole Enduro, part of Black Hole Bike Festival.
Already on Saturday the organizers had to cut short the training on both trails on Petzen. Both special stages were then held in shorter version, on the same trail in the bottom part of the mountain-Thriller on Saturday as Special Stage 1 and EWS Trail on Sunday as the last one, SS5. On Saturday morning the participants tackled the three special stages in Jamnica singletrail park on Slovenian side.
“It’s always great to race in front of my home crowd and get all the support,” told Vid who will race five more EWS races this year, the first one this weekend in Val di Fassa, Italy.
“Riding in those super slippery conditions was so much fun,” said Yana how will also try to get some rest before racing the World’s best in Val di Fassa.

We are eager to get the news whether we’ll be able to keep the Black Hole Enduro in SloEnduro series next year. Of course, the only way to lose it is to “lend” it to over to EWS once again!
The next SloEnduro race will be Enduro Krvavec on August 25th, also the National Championships race. But before that we’ll have two SloEnduro 4Fun events: the Krivapete Enduro on July 7th and Enduro Kope on July 21st.
