Maribor’s park opens with flow trail, World Cup track will follow, then the freeride trail.

We’re not going back to the tender story now and who got whom. Bike Park Pohorje in Maribor opens today, Thursday April 27th. This Thursday and Friday they are offering reduced prices on daily passes: 15€ for adults and youth and 10€ for children.

City’s public company Marprom remains the managing company and will be hiring subcontractors for running of the park. Unofficially we have learned that these are known names from last year.

At the time of opening the Flow trail will be open. The World Cup track is also fixed but not open yet. In June they should open the red marked Freeride trail under the gondola with some new sections.

2017 operation

They are stating in spring mode which means running daily from 10am to 6pm. On weekday on every full hour and non-stop on weekends and holidays. On Fridays it start running non-stop from 2pm.

Summer mode will be posted on site.

Ticket prices

Daily prices are adapted to day and operation, on weekends it’s like this:
– Daily pass – 24€ (youth 21, children 16)

It’s 3 to 4€ cheaper on weekdays. By adding trails the price will be going up so with three trails a daily pass on weekend will cost 29€.

– Season pass – 270€ (230 / 189)

Pricelist

New trails

No new trails, just rebuilding and improvement on existing ones, building new sections and getting all the permits. They say that Flow was never this good, all the features are larger, it’s almost all dirt with just a little woodwork left. There will be minor changes in the World Cup track’s bottom part. And as already mentioned above, the Freeride trail will be getting new sections.

Parking is provided on the grounds of camping, showers included.
