Former Energija Team downhill riders now on their own.
The downhill riders who some years ago started the gravity part of Energija Team, one of Slovenia’s largest mountain bike teams, are on their own from now on. Jan Perše, Tilen Ferk, Luka Zlatnar, Tomaž Oražem and Matic Habjan are the elite riders of the newly formed BATT Team. Dejan Kalabota will be representing the team in masters category and there are rumours they might even have a girl on the team.
Just like Energija Team the new BATT Team will be based in Domžale. In 2016 they will be riding Lapierre DH 727 bikes, supplied by A2U. At the races they will be found under the white Lapierre tent. Maybe even at some enduro races like they home SloEnduro events in Kamnik and Krvavec, but DH tracks remain their main battlefield.
